As a native of Sonoma County, in northern California, I’m surrounded—and often distracted!—by inspiration which fuels my desire to interpret what I see into what I create.
I see fleeting shadows, shapes, textures and color combinations in my garden,
drawing me to themes found in nature. Juicy colors, off-beat arrangements,
sensuous curves and clean, aesthetic layouts define my approach. I strive to
incorporate whimsical details that break the so-called rules of color and
design.
I’m continually thrilled by the almost magical aspect of transforming glass from
individual sharp bits into luscious design elements that beg to be touched. My
work has been described as fresh, modern, elegant and even happy. I like to
imagine that every piece I make is infused with the joy and energy I experience
during its creation.
